Each affiliated organisation, club or group must have been in existence for one year and have a minimum of fifteen members.
Each affiliated group should consider having a provincial charter.
Each affiliated group appoints three representatives to The Garden Clubs of Ontario (one of which may be the president) although all members of all affiliated groups are welcome at all GCO meetings.
As part of the application procedure, each group is assessed by the GCO board.
Fees are paid annually and depend on the number of members in the affiliated club.
